What is the link between Philosophy and Ecology?

Nature = Wisdom = Harmony

The role of a philosophical education is to foster knowledge (understanding the laws of nature), generosity (being able to love and live together), simplicity (seeking the essential and acting upon it) and responsibility.

Developing human values through a renewed education of the human being, emphasizing ethics and social responsibility is key to sustainable development.

Philosophy in the classical manner is the missing link to bridge a sustainable dialogue and creative relationship with Nature. Absent from the heart of modern cultures and marginalized by limited materialist perspectives, philosophy must once more find its global and central role in education.

Philosophy is not a profession for the few, nor one of many options; it grows within the heart of individuals; it becomes our living compass to moral and ecological life.

Once we truly remember that as human beings we are an integral part of nature, it is only natural to outgrow selfish attitudes and become a living force of transformation. Philosophical sources of wisdom offer timeless living examples for humanity towards sustainable life strategies.
